Books to Go: Free delivery of books, movies, magazines, and audiobooks to any homebound patron. This service is by appointment.
Free Computer Classes: Free classes for navigating the Internet or learning Microsoft Office are offered by appointment.
Friends of the Library:
Call the branch for meeting day and time. The Mt. Vernon "Friends" group is an active support unit. They sponsor children, teen, and adult programs and provide funds for library programs and projects. Anyone who loves the library may be a "Friend" and provide support.

Community Events:
"Apple Butter Makin' Days" is a special annual event held the second weekend of October. Apple butter is cooked in copper kettles over an open fire. Over 350 craft booths are available on the town square with lots of entertainment and great food.
